About Therapist
Diana is the owner and Registered Massage Therapist behind Therapeutic Balance Massage Therapy which she started in the summer of 2015. As it is a mobile-only based business, she brings the clinic to your home without the need to travel to and from your appointment, making it a more relaxing and comforting experience without compromising therapeutic benefits.
She has been interested in health and fitness for most of her life, and what impact healthy living has on the body. This interest led her to pursue a career in Massage Therapy. She graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy with a 2200 Hour Diploma and is registered with Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association (CMMOTA) in good standing status. Also, licensed with the City of Airdrie and Calgary for Mobile Massage Therapy.
Prior to Massage Therapy, Diana completed several programs in Fitness and Nutrition, and held a certification with CANFIT-PRO as a Personal Trainer Specialist. Her training focused on human anatomy, bio-mechanics, and nutrition theory. She finds the human body fascinating, and believes that all body systems will run properly if one consumes whole foods and keeps moving throughout the day. Balance is the key!
Diana takes a comprehensive approach to Massage Therapy and is skilled in various types of manual therapy techniques. She will often incorporate a variety of myofascial release techniques, trigger point release therapy, joint mobilization, active inhibitition stretching, Gua Sha therapy, and Cupping massage into a treatment session. In the last few years, she has taken continuing education courses such as RAPID Neurofascial Reset technique for the upper body, lower body, and RAPID 4 , along with hot stone massage, pelvic floor health, and most recently Lymphatic Drainage (LDT1) from the Chikly Institute which she is excited to implement into her practice, as this can be a missing link with some individuals and is such a great technique to add to her extensive toolbox.
